The Six Bells in winter

Our Story

A family-run village pub, run with care.

The Six Bells sits in the heart of Newdigate. It's our local — and we want it to feel like yours.

A proper welcome

For locals, families and everyone in between.

We run the Six Bells as a relaxed, traditional village pub. That means well-kept beer, honest service, and a place that's easy to walk into on your own or with a crowd. Dogs are welcome in the front room. Families are welcome throughout. Cyclists and walkers get a warm towel of a welcome — and a coffee or a Shere Drop, depending on the hour.

We work closely with local breweries and suppliers, and we're slowly building a calendar of events that the village can call its own.

The building

Beams, brickwork and a fire that earns its keep.

The pub has been part of the village for generations. We're keeping its character — the beams, the panelling, the open fire — while making sure it works for the way people actually use a pub today.

Come and say hello.

The best way to know a pub is to visit it. Reserve a table, drop in for a coffee, or come for one of our events.
